An Autumn Mantel

Since I have been off-the-radar for so long (which is for no particular reason, by the way), the mantel has not been shown this season. I think I removed the patriotic print and decor the day after Labor Day, so it has been in place for quite some time. 

I did add the fall basket of pumpkins and gourds a few weeks ago which replaced a planter that had been in the spot.

The rattan lantern is the same one I used on the mantel during the summertime.

The print was a yard sale purchase a couple of years ago and I love pulling it out this time of year, but it is especially appealing now as it reminds me of the gorgeous aspen trees we saw last July while vacationing in Colorado.

Tuesday Tablescape

When I read that National Pumpkin Day would fall on a Tuesday (today)  I decided this tablescape with its pumpkin plates would be fitting. I have had it set in the dining room for seasonal decor.

I have had the pumpkin plates for six years and enjoy using them each autumn. I love their detail!

The plaid plates on which they rest, were purchased a few years ago.

One of my sisters-in-law gave me the basket which I filled with a fall harvest. 

The faux bee's wings (shown on the sunflower below) are made from real feathers. 

I knew it had been quite some time since I bloggged, but did not realize that it was four weeks ago today since I last published a post! Where has the month gone? I can't bee-lieve it's already late October.
