I wanted to weave in a bit of Valentine's Day décor, so decided to combine several little pieces from my February tote to create something for our kitchen island. My yard-sale-find tiered basket made a good base for my idea.
This is an example of how to "shop" what you have to put together a new look.
My dad made this Valentine cutout in his workshop many years ago and I enjoy using it each February!
Also nestled in the bottom basket, you'll find a Mary Engelbreit "Sweetest" cup filled with faux greenery with red berries and a faux chocolate cupcake.
The next basket up holds a vintage hanky which was given to me by a sweet friend, a mini Hershey's book with a few leftover Christmas kisses, a small candle I made at a craft camp eons ago and a vintage postcard (postmarked 1911!) from my in-laws.
On the top, I included a beaded heart which I received from a student, a wooden bookmark a friend made and a vintage Valentine my inlaws gave me.
I hope this post finds you having a good day with a happy heart. 💗
