If you have followed this blog for a bit, you know that we lost both of our sweet little dogs in a span of seven months. Since we considered them to be part of our family, it was tough. We were not looking for another pet when our veterinary office called to let us know about a situation. These two biological sisters were in need of a home.
At age six, their human mom had passed away and her wish was that they remain together. After much consideration, we made the decision to adopt them.
They are happy and affectionate, curious, smart and well-mannered. They have fit right in at our house; it is as if they've always lived here! Naturally, they do not take the place of our beloved Millie and Rubie. While it originally seemed so soon after our losses for them to come here, everyone agrees that it was absolutely meant to be.

Dogs come into our lives to teach us about love and they depart to teach us about loss.
A new dog never replaces an old dog;
it merely expands the heart.
If you have loved many dogs,
your heart is very big. 💕
