This recipe, from a local tea room, is the signature beverage of the establishment. Remember the pitcher on the table in yesterday's post? It was Miss Aimee B's lemonade (minus the ice). Here is a glass of it ready to go. Don't be thrown by its milky consistency and light color.
I agree that its ingredients sound like unusual combinations, but it is a unique, refreshing drink which is unlike any typical lemonade!

Miss Amiee B's Lemonade
2 large lemons
2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
Wash lemons, cut off ends and quarter. Squeeze juice into a bowl and coarsely chop the lemons in the blender or food processor (being careful not to puree!). Add sugar and let the bowl sit on the counter for 30 minutes. At this point, add milk, cover and refrigerate overnight. Strain (I use cheesecloth). To prepare a glass of lemonade, combine 1/2 cup of the syrup, 1/2 cup club soda and 1/2 cup ice.
Enjoy! It's delicious!
