Here's a cool idea for your hot fourth! You just need some cranberry juice, blue Gatorade and a clear soda (such as Sprite or 7 Up).
The drink with the highest sugar content needs to go in first since it's heaviest. For me, that was the white soda. After pouring it in, fill your glass with ice.
Slowly pour in the next two layers, one at a time, according to the sugar contents. I ended with the cranberry juice since what I had in my pantry was diet and the other two drinks were "full strength".
I was dissatisfied with the way the white layer seemed to disappear in the ice on the bottom. One recipe I read recommended using SoBe Pina Colada (non-alcoholic) for the white selection, but it created a milky look in their photo and I prefer the clear appearance. In retrospect, I think I made the wrong choice. It's still a fun drink, though!

By the way, today marks the one year anniversary of my Homescapes Technologies blog. I have enjoyed posting on week days (aside from holidays or vacations) this past year. Thank you for following me! In honor of the occasion, I am trying a slightly new look.
Blessings to you on this fourth of July weekend!
