Coast to coast, it's been a hot summer and it's still hot and humid here. Today's "real feel" temperature is supposed to be between 105 and 110 degrees and a heat advisory goes into effect at noon. We're in the dog days of summer! I obtained the following definition from the online dictionary.
Dog days: * the sultry part of summer, supposed to occur during the period that Sirius, the dog star, rises at the same time as the sun (now often reckoned from July 3 to August 11)
*a period marked by lethargy, inactivity or indolence
To avoid getting overheated, you need to follow this advice.

The hot sun is ruff on your body, so limit your outdoor time.
When it's this doggone hot, drink plenty of liquids.
Take some time to paws and relax in a comfy, cool spot.
Since today is August 11, does that mean that we'll get a break from the heat and humidity?! Stay cool and enjoy your day!
